ParentSquare
Holden R-3 School District uses ParentSquare (PSQ) to communicate with families. PSQ automatically generates an account for each parent/guardian, using your preferred email address and phone number that is in our student database, Infinite Campus (IC). We highly encourage parents/guardians to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
ParentSquare allows you to:
- Receive messages from your school and our District via email, text or app notification
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once in a nightly digest
- Read messages in your preferred language
HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR PARENTSQUARE ACCOUNT
You can login to your ParentSquare account in two ways:
- Login using a web browser at ParentSquare.com/signin
OR
- Download the ParentSquare app
When you are at the login page, enter your primary email or phone number that is on file with the school - this is what will connect you with our district.
Will I still receive messages if I don't activate my ParentSquare account?
Yes, you will still receive our messages. However, you will be unable to select notification settings or your preferred language.
My email is correct in ParentSquare. Why am I not receiving emails?
Please check your spam to see if any ParentSquare messages ended up there, and mark them as "Not Spam." Also add donotreply@parentsquare.com to your email contacts so your server recognizes our messages. If you still are not receiving emails, please contact support@parentsquare.com so they can assist you.
My name, email, or phone number is incorrect in ParentSquare. What should I do next?
ParentSquare pulls information from our student database (Infinite Campus) on a nightly basis. This means if you need to update your information, it must be done by updating it in Infinite Campus and it will update in PSQ the next day.
How do I change my password?
Go to parentsquare.com and on the login page click "Forgot Password." Put in your email or phone number and you will be sent a link to reset your password.
English is not my first language. How can I receive content in the language of my choice?
You can customize your language settings by going to "My Account" and clicking "Change This" under language settings. From here, you can choose any language you prefer from the drop down menu and you will start to receive content in that language.
What if I am missing one of my students in ParentSquare?
This means that something is not synching correctly with Infinite Campus. Please email Bekki Currier, Communications Coordinator, at bcurrier@holdenschools.org and she will investigate the issue.
I edited my email address or phone number in ParentSquare, but it doesn't seem to be showing up - why?
When you request an edit in ParentSquare, it sends a Contact Verification to a Holden R-3 ParentSquare admin. Contact Verifications are checked weekly and made in Infinite Campus.
I am getting too many messages from ParentSquare, is it possible to receive less notifications?
You can customize your notification settings by going to your homepage and clicking on your name in the top right corner and selecting "My Account" from the drop down menu. On your account page, you can find your notification settings in the top right corner and click "Change This" to customize your notifications. If you are receiving too many notifications, try changing to your Digest setting where you will only receive one condensed message in the evening.
I am both a staff member and a parent in the district. How can I add my child to my staff account?
It is likely that you have two separate accounts: a parent account with a personal email address and a staff account with your school email address. You should be asked to merge accounts if both have the same phone number. If you have merged accounts and want to unmerge, email Bekki Currier, Communications Coordinator, at bcurrier@holdenschools.org.
