Advisory class is a class designed to teach students lessons to develop the whole child. The lessons are designed by the school counselors and presented by the classroom teachers. School Counselors also deliever their own lessons throughout the school year.
Students have lessons in their Advisory class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Tuesdays and Thursdays are Academic Days and give students a chance to work on homework, make up an assessment they have missed, or see a teacher about extra help. Some topics that are presented are:
- Character Lessons, including: Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility, Courage, Citizenship, Compassion, Optimism, Perseverance, Integrity, and Gratitude
- Digital Citizenship
- Bullying Awareness and Prevention
- Red Ribbon Week - Substance Abuse Awareness and Prevention
- Signs of Suicide and Prevention (opt out form is provided to parents prior to presentation)
- Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention (opt out form is provided to parents prior to presentation)

- Healthy Relationships and Communication
