Show-Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society

 

Chapter Scholarship

The Show-Me Chapter offers a $2000 scholarship for a high school senior, or undergraduate, planning to major in conservation or a natural resources-related field.  This is an essay contest.  Information can be found at http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship/.  Please encourage any eligible students to apply.  Applications must be postmarked by December 2nd (Monday after Thanksgiving).

 

Conservation Foundation of Missouri Scholarship

CFMO offers 5 - $1000 scholarships to high school seniors or undergraduates in different natural resources areas.  Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need.  Applications must be submitted by January 31.  Information can be found at on the same website, at http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship/.

James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Program Deadline to apply: February 1, 2021 3:00 pm CT The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 pursuant to the provisions of the wills of James L. and Nellie M. Westlake for the purpose of assisting Missouri residents in pursuing a college education. Braxton Rethwisch Scholarship

The Missouri Association for college Admission Counseling (MOACAC) is pleased to offer the Braxton Rethwisch Scholarship to high school seniors who exhibit a commitment to learning and have demonstrated leadership skills and community service involvement. Two one-time $1,000 scholarships will be awarded, as well as a one-time $500 scholarship (this year only). Please visit Scholarship Central to see eligibility requirements and to apply. Charles E. Kruse Scholarship

To encourage students to pursue degrees, and ultimately careers, in agriculture, the Charles E. Kruse Scholarship will provide financial support for one deserving high school senior annually.  The scholarship award is for $1,000 and the deadline to apply is March 15, 2021.  Interested students can see Mrs. Brown or visit the high school scholarship page for more details and an application.

Henry County Mutual Insurance Company Scholarship

5 possible scholarships will be available at $500 a piece. Students can attend a two or four year college/university votech school in Missouri or out of state. There's no requirement on a major. Students must write an essay of their plans after receiving the scholarship and the application must be turned in 2 months prior to the awards program.


Holden Lodge #262 Scholarship

The Holden Lodge #262 is offering two $500 scholarships to seniors who are planning to attend a trade school.  The scholarship sponsors are interested in students who have been involved in school and community activities.  Applications must be postmarked on or before April 30, 2018.

Marilynn Schmidt Memorial Scholarship

Chapter CB of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Warrensburg has established a scholarship in memory of Dr. Marilynn Schmidt.  The Marilynn Schmidt Memorial Scholarship is for a female senior who is seeking either a college degree in a chosen major field or a post-secondary certification toward a vocational career.  The amount of the scholarship is $500.  Interested applicants should see Mrs. Brown for more information and an application.  Applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2018.


MFA Foundation Scholarships

MFA Foundation Scholarships are offered to high school seniors in the amount of $2,000 and is applied toward the student’s freshman year of college.  The scholarship may be used at the college or university of your choice and toward any course of study you desire to pursue.  The scholarship winner is selected by a local selection committee.  In making its decision, the committee considers scholastic progress, citizenship, extra-curricular activities, educational plans, and financial need. Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship - Provides seven $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing banking and banking-related careers. Applications must be postmarked by March 9, 2018. Please visit mobankers.com for a copy of the application.

Missouri Dairy Scholars Scholarship Program

The Missouri Dairy Scholars Scholarship Program provides a $5,000 scholarship to assist with educational expenses at a two-or a four-year college or university in Missouri for eligible students in an agricultural-related degree program who make a commitment to work in the agriculture industry in Missouri. Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Vocational Scholarship

The Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture will award four - $500 scholarships to students pursuing appropriate certification in fields related to and supportive of agriculture. This includes, but is not limited to: 1) Heavy Equipment Operations; 2) Electronics; 3) Welding; and 4) Diesel and Farm Machinery Repair. NOTE: Students pursuing a 4-year degree are not eligible. This program is a service to Farm Bureau members thus all applicants, their parent(s), or guardian must hold an active membership in Missouri Farm Bureau.
