Degrees and Certifications:

Miss Megan Grindstaff

Welcome to fourth grade! I am very excited to be able to spend the upcoming school year with all of you. Here are a few things about myself to help you get to know me.

This is my second year of teaching, as I graduated from University of Central Missouri in the Spring of 2020. I student taught at Raymore Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year in both 1st and 2nd grade. I graduated from Raymore Peculiar in 2014.  Both myself and my fiance are from Peculiar, Missouri, and have been together for 7 years. Prior to Holden Elementary, I worked as a Pre-K teacher at a daycare in Pleasant Hill for 3 years, and fell in love with teaching. We recently bought a house and moved to the beautiful city of Holden at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.

I enjoy spending time outside, arts and crafts, and all kinds of animals.  Flowers are one of my passions, as well as spending time with my family and friends, painting, and music. My fiance and I have a 3 year old little girl named Dahlila, and 2 dogs, Chief, a Red Heeler Husky mix, and Ruxin, a German Shepard Mastiff mix. I also have 2 dogs at my parents house in Garden City, Missouri, Boomer, a Bloodhound English Mastiff mix, and Gunner, an English Mastiff. I have a huge spot in my heart for these gentle giant breeds. We love to travel and visit new places, and are always looking for new adventures.

I am looking forward to all the wonderful memories that we will be making this year. My personal goal is to make sure that all my students feel warm and welcome within the classroom, as well as knowing that this is a safe place to learn and grow. I try to ensure the idea that we are a community within the classroom, and that we are all here for each other for help and support. I believe that every student learns differently, and it's my job to create fun and engaging ways to teach each student.

Here is to a great year!
