A Little Bit About Me....
I grew up in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, where I graduated high school in 2010. I then attended Baker University on a football scholarship until the spring of 2014, when I transferred to Ottawa University and graduated with a B.A. in History. I finally completed the Baker University Teacher Education Program in 2016. Soon after, I was hired by the Orrick R-XI School District in Orrick, Missouri as a Social Studies instructor and head varsity football coach. This past spring, I was hired by the Holden R-III School District to teach 7th grade Civics and help coach wrestling and football. My wife Brianna and I immediately moved to the Holden area, and are looking forward to becoming involved in the community.
- My preferred job of choice is obviously teaching, because I love the relationships I get to build with my students. However, before finishing my degree, I held a wide array of occupations, including an animal handler on a large 2,000 sow hog farm! Even though I don't teach it, agriculture is my second passion. Pigs are my favorite animal, and my wife and I enjoy living in the country and raising animals/assisting with farm chores whenever possible.
- I LOVE telling stories. It's why I love history so much!
- I hate breakfast foods. Seriously. If I could go to McDonalds and grab a McDouble at 8am, I would. Give me something hearty and get those fluffy scrambled eggs outa' here!
- I will be coaching football and wrestling here at Holden, and I would encourage any young man or young woman interested in participating in either to come and find me during the school day. I would love to talk to you about coming out for the upcoming seasons!
