Summer Food Update 5.23.2020
Summer meal distribution has begun! This week, over 1,800 meals have been prepped. The first week of produce boxes have gone out. We’re so thankful for our families and the organizations that make this summer food possible!
We do have a change, and we think it will be one you will like - to accommodate families’ schedules, we are happy to announce that starting Tuesday, May 26, meals for the week will be offered for pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays instead of daily. Only two days of pick up and you get 5 days of meals!
Tuesday package: includes meals for Tuesday, Wednesday, and the Produce Box.
Thursday package: includes meals for Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday.
Due to low interest in the area, the La Tour location has been deactivated at this time. Arrangements have been made with the families who already signed up and indicated La Tour as their location. If we receive more requests wanting to pick up from the La Tour location, we will revisit this decision.

Letter to Families 5.14.2020
Dear Holden families,
Tomorrow, Friday, May 15, 2020, marks the end of our school year in a different fashion than ever before. Thank you for partnering with your child’s teachers to continue learning throughout this spring of uncertainty. While instructional supports will cease for this school year, meals will continue, for those who sign up, as we transition into our Summer Meal Program. Tentative plans for a potential Summer School in July are being considered as we monitor guidelines from state and county health officials and regulations from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. More information regarding Summer School will be sent to parents later in June.
At Holden, The Summer Meal Program has offered FREE meals to all kids ages 0-18 for several summers. You will still be able to receive breakfast, lunch, and supper for your child(ren) daily on weekdays from Monday, May 18 through Friday, August 21, however delivery to bus stops is not approved for this program. The following variety of times and locations will be available for you to drive through to pick up your meals. All three daily meals will be distributed together at your chosen location.
