Mrs. Haun

Hi! I am Mrs. Haun and I teach middle and high school agriculture at Holden. I grew up on a farm near Denison, Iowa where my parents and I raised and showed livestock. I especially devoted a lot of my time to training and showing horses in order to compete at the national level. I was very active in high school and participated in FFA, swim team, jazz band, marching band, concert band, National Honor Society, and more. One of my favorite memories in high school was flying to Kentucky to compete at FFA National Convention on my horse judging team.

After graduation, I majored in Agriculture Science at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa with an agriculture scholarship. There, I was on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and Horse Judging Team. My horse judging team was the most awarded team in ECC history winning top awards across the nation. One of the highlights of my "judging team" years include winning top individual at NACTA and being Reserve National champions at The Spring Contest in Texas. I graduated from Ellsworth Community College and was awared Top Animal Science Student.

I then transferred to the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. I was honored to be selected as the Mule Rider mascot and represent our real, live mascot "Tammy" at games, parades, and other public events. I was the first Agriculture Education major to graduate from UCM's new program in Spring 2019.

Currently, I reside on a farm near Holden with my husband, Alex. We have two dogs, cattle, goats, and show horses. We love the farm life and sharing our passion for agriculture and FFA. "I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith not born of words, but of deeds."
