Nominations Sought for Hall of Fame

Nominations are now being accepted for the Holden High School Hall of Fame. Join us in celebrating Holden High School's rich tradition of exceptional education by nominating a distinguished individual/team for the Holden High School Hall of Fame. The purpose is to recognize and honor those individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the achievements and prestige of Holden High School in the field of Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) activities and have continued to demonstrate in their lives the values imparted.  The nomination deadline is June 17th. Finalists will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the fall of each year.

Summer School 2013  

Holden R-III announces Summer School 2013 will be June 3-14 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Limited bus transportation with various pick up/drop off locations will be available. Designated stops are listed on the enrollment forms. • Board Approves 167 Student Day Calendar for 2013-2014 School Year At their March 11th regular board meeting, the school board approved the school calendar for the 2013-2014 school year. The school calendar approved has 167 student days. This is a change from the traditional 174 day calendar but is still a five day week. This calendar option offers some cost savings potential in areas such as transportation and salaries. The 167 student day calendar will mean that 15 minutes of instructional time will be added to each school day, so the school start and dismissal times will also change. Beginning in the 2013-2014 school year, the high school and middle school will start at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 3:15 p.m. The elementary will start at 8:10 a.m. and dismiss at 3:25 p.m. The first day of school will be August 21, 2013. There is one early release/half day on December 20, 2013. The last day of school for students will be May 20, 2014.
