ACT AT HOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL
The ACT (American College Test) is a highly regarded assessment of academic readiness for college. All students who are considering college study following high school should plan on taking the ACT at least once during their junior year. Students are encouraged to register on-line. For those who are unable to register on-line, test registration packets are available in the HHS Office. ACT registration fees are $35.00 (No Writing) and $50.50 (With Writing). Visit actstudent.org for a complete listing of testing dates, registration deadlines, and test preparation materials.
ACT PREPARATION WORKSHOP
HHS offers an ACT preparation workshop prior to each administration of the ACT assessment. An ACT Workshop Registration Form must be completed and turned in to the Office with a $15 fee payment prior to participation in the workshop. See your counselor for more information or pick up a registration form in the office or on-line.
ACT & WORKSHOP FEE REFUND POLICY
As an incentive for HHS students to do their best on the ACT, the student may receive a full refund of her/his registration fees for up to 3 different ACT assessments and the corresponding ACT workshops in which the student participates during her/his high school career. In order to qualify for this refund, the student must participate fully in both the workshop and the ACT. Refund checks will be issued to the student from the office several weeks following testing.
